Pitch Perfect Cup Trick/Song

I went to see the new musical Pitch Perfect two weeks ago with my sister. It's really good! I'd totally recommend it to EVERYONE. The music is great and it is hilarious non-stop from start to finish (Rebel Wilson is a genius). The movie even received a round of applause once the credits rolled! One scene in particular was pretty cool, when Becca auditioned to join the Bellas (an all-girl a cappella group) she sang a song by Lulu and the Lampshades. I tried it out for myself. this is my cover of the cup trick:

It's nowhere near perfect but I'm pretty pleased as I only learnt the rhythm yesterday!


This type of cup percussion has been used before, its not new. This is one of my favourite songs using this method, it's a cover of Robyn's 'Tell Your Girlfriend' by Erato, a Swedish band:

The Quest For The Perfect Winter Hat!

I recently lost my cool, fluffy hat :( 

I think I left it in a taxi, I'm not sure. Since then I've been trying to find a replacement. Hard to do. It was two years old and by John Rocha, Debenhams so I'm not going to find the same one again! 

I tried this one on in Accessorize on Grafton Street and decided it was a bit too much:

Now however, after thinking about it I'm going to go back in and get it! I thought that today was Thursday and was going to go in after studying for late night shopping. Since it's Friday I'm have to wait until tomorrow!

It's always good, if you're not 100% sure about an item you're thinking of buying, to walk away and come back the next day. I always take a picture too. This is especially true if the item is on sale (this hat is) as most stores won't allow you to make returns on sale items.
